Kathmandu is a fascinating blend of religions, cultures and people. Without a doubt, the center of all the action is Durbar Square but other pockets of interest are scattered around town such as the Tibetan village surrounding Bodhnath or Swambhunath Temple in the outskirts of town. Back in the 60s the hub of the action, for foreign visitors at least was Freak Street - now a ghost of its former self.
