Krabi is one of the most popular of the southern provinces of Thailand with many attractions with more than one hundred tiny islands in the region - the most popular of which is Koh Phi Phi. Krabi boasts white sandy beaches, clear waters and coral formations. When most people speak of Krabi, they are often referring to Ao Nang Beach which is the most popular resort area of the province. Krabi has an almost otherworldly look of labyrinthine archipelagos where islands erupt vertically out of the sea and secluded beaches that are only accessible by longtail boats - this protects these quiet sandy coves from over-development and ruin.
