Langkawi is made up of an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea off the mainland coast of Malaysia in Kedah State. The sculpture greets visitors to the island as it is located just next to the ferry terminal. The statue is the island’s icon and most recognizable monument. Eagle Square is a great place to watch ferries ply across the harbour coming and going from Penang as well as mainland peninsular Malaysia.
