Sheung Wan Hong Kong Street Art - Sheung Wan is a popular hangout for artists in Hong Kong. Many of the neighborhood’s murals were produced by HK Walls, an annual festival that finds friendly business owners who are willing to let street artists take over their walls to create murals an often overlooked part of Hong Kong despite its being smack dab in the center of Central. All around Hollywood Road you’ll see walls in alleys, shuttered buildings and even entire buildings covered in street art. Some of the pieces are colorful, others faded, and a few are right In Your Face. Although this is a fairly classy mid levels and middle class neighborhood with a few trees left standing, the paintings on the walls in this area makes it even that much more attractive. If only the rest of Hong Kong were painted so beautifully.
