The pond at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine is the one of the most famous spots in Kamakura for sakura views after Wakamiyaoji Path, which leads to the shrine itself. A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese Cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is called sakura in Japanese.
