Yuihonjin was where VIPs and daimyo stayed during the Edo period along the historic Tokaido Road, and its remains have been preserved. The front gate, Ishigaki, wooden fence, water fountain for horses are all reminders of those days. Miyukitei is a pavilion where Emperor Meiji took a short rest, and was restored and now called the Yui Honjin Memorial Hall which has a tea room Yuijinsai and a Japanese garden on the north side is said to be created by Enshu Kobori. Within the same complex, and requiring a separate entrance ticket is The Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art which has a collection of about 1,400 ukiyo-e prints, centered on works drawn by Hiroshige Utagawa - many of which are focused on the old Tokaido Road which runs in front of the building complex.
