Punaluu Black Sand Beach is one the most famous black sand beaches in Hawaii. Located on the Kau coast, between Hawaii Volcano National Park and the town of Naalehu. Often visited by large green sea turtles basking on the beach. Swimming isn't ideal here but it is a unique experience to feel black course volcanic sand between your toes, and commune with the turtles.
