21.1 Ninomaru Garden 二の丸庭園 was refashioned by the renowned landscape architect and garden designer Kobori Enshu and is prominent on the grounds of Ninomaru Palace at Nijo Castle. The garden has a large pond with three islands and features carefully placed stones and pine trees. The garden is so very impressive that many visitors skip the tour of the palace itself just to enjoy the quiet beauty of the garden.
