Hungduan Hapao rice terraces near Banaue is expansive with scattered village huts between the paddy. They were built by the Ifugao tribe that have lived in these mountains for thousands of years. The Ifugao have passed on their skills from generation to generation. The Banaue Ifugao Rice Terraces show how an ancient culture can survive despite modernization even today.
