Hondo-ji Temple Iris Garden -Hondoji is a temple built in the Kamakura period, and the name of the temple is said to have been given by Nichiren Shonin. Today, 50,000 hydrangeas are planted in the precincts, and it is famous as the Chiba Hydrangea Temple. It is also famous as for other types of flowers - not only hydrangeas but also 5,000 irises, about 100 cherry blossoms in spring, and maple autumn leaves.
