Japan is no stranger to imaginative art and design where even manholes can be done up in surprisingly artful and charming ways. These delicious looking fruity bus shelters made their way from the Osaka expo down to Konagai, Nagasaki Prefecture, where they have drawn curious visitors to the coastal town ever since. Bus stops come in different shapes and sizes but in the town of Konagai in Nagasaki Prefecture, they come in different flavors too: watermelon, strawberry, cherry and orange. Pick your favorite! These juicy bus stops would feel right at home in a theme park but stand in service, protecting waiting bus passengers from the elements. As you might expect, they have become local landmarks. The creators of these gems were inspired by the pumpkin carriage in Cinderella.
