Seikei-en is a strolling pond garden built during the Edo period and the beginning of the Meiji period. Seikeien has been designated as a scenic spot by Kumagaya City. The garden in the residence of Kanjo Takei, a prominent local figure. Inside the garden, there are a few teahouses arranged around the pond: the stilt-style Sekisuikaku, and the Seikeiryo and Shofuan tea rooms. The current building was renovated and restored in the Heisei era.
