Boat on the Thu Bon River - Thu Bon River begins at an altitude of 2,500 meters in the Ngoc Linh Mountains. Thu Bon River has always played an important role in the geography, culture and history of Hoi An. It is the chief source of livelihood for many residents of the town and once made the town an important port and trading post in Southeast Asia . Nowadays, the remains of the ancient port and the picturesque waterfront can be seen along the river a glimpse into the town’s storied past.
