Hosen-in Garden

Hosen-in was built more than 800 years ago as priest quarters for nearby Sanzen-in Temple. When seen a certain angle, the foliage of this pine tree resembles Mount Fuji. Hosen-in has second zen garden called the "Garden of the Crane and Turtle" symbols of long life. This garden features various stones and patterns in an unusual way. The main features are the stone bridge, a raked gravel area.
