Yushima Tenmangu Shrine Garden, commonly known as Yushima Tenjin, is one of Tokyo's most famous Tenmangu shrines, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane - the "god of learning. Within the grounds, there is a plum garden and a Japanese garden that were created in the 2010s by modern landscape designer Yasumoro Sadao - one of his masterpieces. The theme of the garden is Michizane's Utopia. In addition to the plum trees that decorate the back of the garden, the flow and sound of the waterfall makes you forget for a moment that you are in the middle of Tokyo. The stone-paved garden path gradually changes into stonework that resembles scales, and there are various bridges, from wooden bridges to earthen bridges to stone bridges.
