Gawdawpalin Pahto is one of the largest and imposing of all the Bagan temples. It was built during the reign of Narapatisithu and finished under that of Nantaungmya. Gawdawpalin is considered teh crowning archievement of the late Bagan period. It's very name means "Platform to which Homage is Paid". It was reconstructed after the 1975 earthquake.
