Kawatana Torpedo Ruins - At the time when the torpedo launch site was operative, torpedoes were launched at the Sasebo Navy Arsenal and Mitsubishi Nagasaki factory. Now a weed infested ruin, with trees growing out of the buildings, it is a popular fishing hole for locals. It is also one of the few haikyo abandoned ruins in Japan with open access as it is part of a public park.
