Old Matsumoto High School is still being used as an educational facility, located inside Agata Forest Park. You can see the restored principal's room and classrooms in the wooden Western-style building. The former Matsumoto High School has been declared an Important Cultural Property. There is an adjoining auditorium used as a venue for the educational and cultural activities in Matsumoto such as concerts and exhibit presentations. Some of the buildings are now used as part of the local university.
