Genshinji Temple Garden - Genshinji is a Jodo sect temple built in the early Edo period. The front garden named Nigabyakudo-no-Niwa was created by Yoshikawa, president of the Japanese Garden Association. Futagawa Hakudo is a devotion to pray for paradise in Pure Land Buddhism, inspired by the Kamakura period. A muddy stream is expressed with dry landscape water made of blue stones. The red stones represent the appearance of being engulfed in flames, called “Futagawa-Hakudo-no-Niwa”
