Located at the foot of Mount Kinugasa in northwest Kyoto, Tojiin Temple was the ancestral temple of the Ashikaga shoguns. The garden was designed by renowned landscape designer Soseki Muso, who was also a Zen Buddhist monk, create the gardens and ponds on the grounds.
