Rurikoin-14.jpg
Rurikoin - Yase Kyoto has been attracting people since ancient times with its scenery that changes color throughout the seasons. Rurikoin Temple is located here and is famous in autumn for its foliage. The garden of Rurikoin sits in a mountainous area where various types of maple trees grow, a clear spring gushes out covered in layers of moss. The temple was given the name Ruriko-in because the garden appears to be shining in lapis lazuli. Lazuli Garden at this temple is completely covered with a carpet of moss. A stream flows through the moss, drawing an elegant curve while nurturing the moss at the same time.
