Saishoji Temple Garden - Saishoji Temple is a Jodo Shinshu temple founded in the Kamakura period and later converted to the Tendai sect. The rock garden, which is based on the motif of the Thirteen Buddhas, the guardian Buddhas who protect the deceased and guide them to the Pure Land, was created in 1999 by a gardener from Gunma Prefecture, and the beautiful stroll-style garden with moss was created by the Kojima Garden Factory in Kyoto. The Thirteen Buddhas garden was created by Masafumi Fujioka, a landscape gardener from Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture. The rock garden has the motif of the Thirteen Buddhas, the guardian Buddhas who protect the deceased and guide them to the Pure Land. The rock garden dedicated to Kokuzo Bosatsu. Onishi Fujioka City, is known for blue Sanbaishi stone, and the area is home to many rock garden landscapers.
