Erin-ji Temple Belfry - Erin-ji is a Zen temple set in the mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture and was built in 1330. Zen priest and garden designer Muso Soseki was asked to establish and design the temple. It is now a temple of the Myoshin-ji branch of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. The temple's garden is best viewed from either temple's tatami rooms or connecting hallways.
