  • Akihabara Electric Town, frequently called "Akiba" is a major shopping area in Tokyo for electronic, computer, anime and geek goods.  The newest high-tech items are mostly to be found on the main street, with many kinds of used items found in the back streets and alleyways.  Parts for PC-building are readily available here as are tools, wires and various electronic items are found in the cramped passageways near the station.   • 31.2  Origami 折り紙 Cranes at Hiroshima Peace Park -  Origami is the Japanese word for paper-folding.  This art of paper folding has been handed down from parent to child through the generations.  Origami normally involves the creation of paper forms by folding shapes of such things as animals, the most common of which are of cranes a traditional symbol of longetivity and good fortune although cranes have also become a symbol of peace. This association between paper cranes and peace can be traced back to a young girl named Sadako Sasaki who died of leukemia ten years after the Hiroshima atomic bombing.
